Nobody likes to work on the weekend. But when it’s between that and shutting down operations during the week and absorbing the financial hit of lost production time, the decision is easy. At least it was for Crestron Electronics, who recently installed 45,000 square feet of Static Stop’s FreeStyle ESD flooring at its Rockleigh, NJ manufacturing plant.
Crestron chose Static Stop FreeStyle ESD Flooring, in part, due to its patented interlocking technology. This technology allowed for installation without messy glues or adhesives. To avoid any production stoppage, Crestron chose to install the 45,000 square feet of flooring 6,000 square feet at a time over the course of a weekend. After each installation phase, production resumed on the following Monday without a hitch.
“Crestron is in a tough business. Meeting strict delivery deadlines while complying with rigorous ESD static control audit requirements is challenging but noncompliance with ESD audit requirements can be fatal and downtime is extremely costly. Thankfully, we were able to provide a flooring solution–our FreeStyle ESD™ product—that met the challenge,” said Thomas Ricciardelli, president of SelecTech, Inc… “Our FreeStyle ESD Flooring passes the toughest standards in the industry yet requires virtually no floor preparation, no messy adhesives and no specialized installation expertise. It can be installed directly over existing flooring. No adhesive means no cure times so it is ready for immediate use.”
Said a spokesperson for Crestron Electronics, ““If you do a full cost analysis of FreeStyle ESD vs. glue down products, FreeStyle is a no-brainer. It was easy to install and it looks great. It is incredibly comfortable underfoot, which is an added bonus for our workers.”
FreeStyle ESD™ is manufactured to provide a durable and long-lasting floor covering under a range of temperature and exposure conditions and is backed by a 10-Year limited warranty against wear.
